Hi, guys —

Eric replied:

Richard —

I have never heard of the "Light Bible". Doing a quick web search, I found a book of that title sold on Amazon with this description:

"As a rare prophetic declaration, The Light Bible is the operator's manual for our spiritual awakening. The timeless message of Love is revealed again. The nature and relationship of God and Man and all things are clearly and elegantly stated. The will of God and our earthly purpose in the now-times are illumined for all to understand. Endless blessings await the faithful who open their [sic] hearts and minds to this prophetic message. Be blessed in the knowing of these things. Peace."
  • Is this what you're referring to?

This sounds like it is trying to supplant or serve as a substitute for authentic Christianity but I have no actual knowledge of its contents.

  • Can you provide more context?

Eric

Richard replied:

Mr. Ewanco,

A while back, I started receiving morning Bible reading from this app titled “BIBLE study “30-day Bible ... grow your faith. When you open it each day at the top is a pretty picture or photo with a portion of a verse or psalm inscribed over the image. Below would be the complete verse or psalm. Below that would be a reflection of the reading.

Below would be a prayer to God but back to the pretty picture at the beginning. I recently noticed the words “Light Bible” inscribed in ghosted lettering at the bottom Right corner. So, it made me start wondering if this site “app” is suitable for a Catholic.

Thanks for your previous response and your patience reading this attempt to explain why I’m asking.

Richard

Eric replied:

Ah. Excellent question.

I suspect there is no connection to the book I found but that doesn't really answer your question.

I probably wouldn't worry too much about it. They probably got your name from some trusted organization you have a relationship with.

Eric Ewanco
