First let me apologize for the lateness of the reply.

There are different opinions on Harry Potter. I think a false claim that is circulating is that it features actual witch's spells. There is a legitimate tradition of portraying magic in fantasy novels (think of J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis).

Obviously, if Harry Potter elicits an interest in the occult or actual sorcery, which is likely a very small risk (in Harry Potter, non-"magical" people cannot learn or use magic), that would be a problem.

  • Are there concrete concerns you have observed?
