Anonymous Cindy wrote:

Hi, guys —

There is a difference between what the Old Testament and the New Testament say about the Sabbath.

  • Which Day is the Sabbath?

Cindy

  { Since there is a difference between the Old and New Testament, what Day is the Sabbath? }

Eric replied:

Cindy,

The Sabbath is Saturday. Sunday is the Lord's Day.

Certain principles applying to the Sabbath were transferred to the Lord's Day, but they are conceptually distinct.

For more information, I'll refer you to St. John Paul II's Apostolic Letter

"Dies Domini", especially #18

Eric
