Hi, guys —

My name is Robin and I'm a 15-year-old Catholic. I was wondering if it's possible to feel the hand of God upon yourself.

Let me explain a little bit. Last night I was at youth group and during Adoration I suddenly felt a pressure on my head. It felt as if I was wearing a head band and during the rest of the night I found myself checking my head to make sure I hadn't put a head band on earlier. Even right now, I still feel a slight pressure, but it doesn't hurt or anything; in fact, it relaxes me and takes all my worries away.

  • Could I be feeling the Hand of God?
  • Or, is it just a random thing?

I'm really curious.

Robin

Mary Ann replied:

Robin,

Thank God for allowing you to feel something that gives you peace. If this came during Adoration, it may be a circulatory or muscular manifestation of a different mental state — one that is new to you or it may be God's way of giving you assurance.

Don't focus on it, but do enjoy God's peace and praise Him.

Mary Ann
