Hi, George —
I'm a little puzzled by your question.
Catholics do not believe they should
not eat meat. We are not vegetarians.
If you're referring to not eating
meat on Friday during Lent, the justification
is in Hebrews 13:17 and 1 Corinthians
9:27. Also see:
The Old Testament is replete with
servants of God fasting, and Jesus
assumes that his followers will fast.
