It definitely won't prevent them from going to Heaven.
If the funeral Mass would have been offered for their soul, they would miss out on a tremendous blessing and reduction in the purification they may be undergoing, but another Mass can be offered for them at another time. Just talk to the pastor of your parish or a religious priest from a monastery.
