Hi, guys —
Until recently I've told people that I'm simply not superstitious when it comes to God and religion. I never really put much thought to it other than:
"Yeah, it would be nice if the Bible were true."
but I have not wholeheartedly believe in it.
Recently there have been things that have come up, mostly small emotional struggles that have had me face to face with my religious feelings.
I get emotional and begin to wonder if God is trying to tell me something. It seems too coincidental for it to be anything else but I'm not sure I'm ready become a person of faith.
I was baptized Catholic as a child. My wife is a Catholic school teacher and is in church playing the organ every weekend.
- I'm just at a tipping point and not sure how or which way to go.

Hi Mike,
I didn't see any question in your e-mail.
- Did you have one that you wanted to ask us?
What is happening in your life is for you to discern. We can't do that for you.
If you have a question you wish to ask us, you are welcome to ask it.
I'm glad you are not superstitious. Superstition is a belief or notion, not based on reason or knowledge.
This is unlike the Catholic faith which is based on reason and a knowledge of history.
Because of this we can say with confidence:
- the Catholic faith is based on Jesus Christ, the God-Man and Savior of Mankind, and
- the Bible is a liturgical book (one used for our worship), whose Gospels and Epistles are based on historical events that really happened.
The word Testament in Latin means to bear witness to.

God is trying to tell you something Mike, and I would put my money on the fact that your wife is probably praying for you.
It's never too early to consider a life of faith. God wants your whole life all the way from start to finish. I would look to building on that from this day forward.
I had a similar situation in my life, and I answered that call, and my life has never been the same. I wouldn't look back and change it for anything. Your best days are ahead of you.
God will only lead you to a good place. Start by reading the Bible, going to Church with your wife, and praying to God to guide you every day. I'll keep you in my prayers too.
