Dear Caitlin,
You said:
When I was getting confirmed four years ago, the archbishop only said the first half of my confirmation name. My name is Anne-Yael but he only said Anne. Thus, up till this day, I still do not feel I have been confirmed because that was not the name that I chose.
- Does it matter and is it possible I get re-confirmed?
No, it does not matter.
- Confirmation
- Baptism, and
- Holy Orders
are the three sacraments you can only receive once. Whether you feel you were confirmed or not, is not an issue. You were confirmed and even if there was a small mistake made, which I doubt, the Church would supply what was lacking in a minor detail.
I hope this helps.
Mike
