Tiffany McDade wrote:

Hi, guys —

I was baptized in a Catholic Church and, 25 years later, was baptized in a non-Christian congregation. Now I want to come back to my Catholic faith.

  • Do I have to get re-baptized to be Catholic again?

Tiffany

Mike replied:

Dear Tiffany,

No, you do not have to get re-baptized. Whether you missed one of the following sacraments, or not . . .

  • First Confession
  • First Holy Communion, or
  • Confirmation

. . . all you have to do is go to Confession and tell the priest you want to come back to the Catholic Church.

If you did miss one of those sacraments listed above, tell him you wish to make an appointment to receive whatever sacrament(s) you missed and . . .

Welcome Home my sister!

The Church is blessed and stronger because of your return!

Talk to the pastor about:

  • the various ministries the parish has
  • get involved, and
  • meet new friends!

Mike
