You are not required to do this but it is time you took steps to explore the faith.

Perhaps you could join what is called the RCIA group in your parish. This is the program that teaches the faith for those who want to be Catholic. You are already a Catholic but you could join anyway just to get the knowledge or see if they have Adult Confirmation classes there.

Talk to your priest. It will change your life.

I would also add that besides teaching you the faith, an RCIA program will also expose you to various ministries your local Catholic parish offers.

It's a great way to meet new Catholic friends and develop like interests.
