I hope you can answer this question for me. It's has been a year since I baptized my daughter and the person who was supposed to be her Godfather got deployed at the last minute. He will be back from deployment in December. My question is:

  • Can he still be her Godfather?

I believe it is possible to have a sponsor by proxy; this is what should have originally been done to prevent this issue from arising.
