Discerning David

Hi, guys —
I have a misunderstanding with someone important to me.
We are not that close and we just assume things since we don't really communicate. Even this misunderstanding is my assumption. Talking to that person, if what I assume is wrong, will shame me but I don't care about that. I just hope to tell the truth.
I don't know what God's plan is for me.
I'm scared if going to that person is not God's plan for me. I don't know how to discern whether talking to that person is God's Will.
- Should I go to talk with her?
Please help me.

David,
I really don't know what God's will is for you in this instance, but here are a couple of key points to consider.
- Will going forward do good for someone? <How did you answer?>
If the only negative is your potential embarrassment then no harm should come to anyone else.
So, if your facts are true, and you believe by bringing it to someone, if may bring good then you may go forward.

Paul replied:
David,
The answer to your question seems to depend on a myriad of factors. You would have to take into account all the details, like:
- her relationship with you
- why you think there is a rift
- whether forgiveness is a factor
- what good would come from a confrontation, etc.
Pray that the Holy Spirit give you wisdom and prudence in this matter, use your own reasoning, and once you have humbly made a decision, trust in God to assist you in whatever it is.
Paul
