Hi, guys —

  • How do I confess a life of sexual sins and deviant acts?

Eric replied:

Well,

Compile a list of everything you can remember and how many times you did it, make an appointment with your priest, and go through it with him. You could say,

  • "I committed X act roughly weekly for ten years" or
  • "I've done Y several times a week since I was 11 years old" or
  • "I committed a sex act with Z once" or whatever it was.

No need to go into the details, just summarize what kind of sin it was, and whether there was a factor that made it worse:

(i.e. I violated a nun, versus violating a non-consecrated woman, or I had a homosexual act with a priest),

and how many times you think you did it.

Do it to the best of your memory.

Eric
