Hi, guys —

"Heaven and Earth will pass away, but not a single letter of the LAW will pass away." Matthew 5:18 [Jesus]

(...) "and whoever would take away the smallest letter, the same shall be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven." Matthew 5:19 [Jesus]

"Even if I came to you and tried to make a small change to what I have taught you — let him be accursed." Galatians 1:8 [St. Paul]

  • Don't these passages make it clear that according to the above, the Catholic Church has invalidated Herself?

i.e.: The Ten Commandments —These are not the "smallest letter" but an absolute foundation.

The Second Commandment (in the Bible):

"Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in Heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth."

This commandment has been eradicated in order to permit trading of devotional articles such as crucifixes, making statues and so on.

The Sabbath:

It has been changed to Sunday, where Jesus said, when talking about events after His departure, "Pray that Your flight was not in the Sabbath day." Matthew 24:20 [Jesus]

plus - one of Ten Commandments says:

"Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee. Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God."

I would honestly appreciate your response.

Please note:- I am not intending to insult anyone's feelings, nor am I trying to persuade anyone through my opinions.

I simply I am asking a question and want to discuss a potential answer — possibly.

I am sorry if I cause discomfort to anyone, but I guess purpose of this service is to ask questions like the above.

Thank-you for your time and I hope to hear from You back : )

Yours,

Pawel

Mike replied:

Hi Pawel,

Thanks for the question.

We welcome any sincere criticism of our Church; it gives us a chance to clear up misperceptions people may have. This is a common question; it's even in our searchable knowledge base:

There are a lot of quick answers there, so give it a try.

I took a few minutes to pick out eleven postings that should address most of your questions
but if there is something I overlooked, trying searching first, then ask us.

On the Commandments:

On the Sabbath:

Hope this helps,

Mike
