Hi, guys —

  • What Catholic book can I recommend to a non-Catholic, Presbyterian who does not practice their denominational faith anymore to try to bring them into the knowledge of the full Truth of the Catholic Faith?

Thank you in advance!

Rich

Bob replied:

Richard,

There are so many good books it is hard to say. How about having a conversation about some area of religion and get a book (you could both read and talk about).

Try any of Scott Hahn's books. He was a convert, has a great theology background, and was a good witness for becoming Catholic: Rome Sweet Home.

It is tricky now in choosing some current books, so I would go back to writings of the great Saints and thinkers as well. Fulton Sheen, To Know Christ Jesus, comes to mind.

I always share what I am reading (or something we have discussed) that I know the material relates to. That way there is a relevance to the subject matter.

Sorry, I don't have much more at the moment.

Peace,

Bob Kirby

I'm always open to adding to it.

I would also recommend he read and consider the views of Scott Hahn, seeing he was a former Presbyterian.

Hope this helps,

Mike
