Anonymous Menopausal Wife wrote:

Hi, guys —

  • As a menopausal woman, is it sinful to not have sex with your husband but relieve him by other means that cause him to ejaculate outside your body?
  • Is this acceptable when sex is physically too difficult to engage in?

Not engaging in relations is causing him much frustration and I do not want him to masturbate due to my not being available to engage in intercourse with him.

Dear Anonymous Wife,

Sorry for the delay in answering your question. I know it's been a while.

I welcome my colleagues to chime in if they wish.

It sounds like you have a tough cross to carry. The conjugal marital embrace serves two purposes. For:

  1. babies, and
  2. bonding between the couple.

That said, we are not doctors or priests so further advice or counseling would be inappropriate. You may find some related guidance in previous postings which can be found on our website.

I searched our database for you and found the following related postings. You may find them helpful:

In addition to my answer, I would check-out these websites:

They maybe able to provide additional resources.

Sorry, that's the best I can do.
